This is the initial filing, where we will prepare your packet with all appropriate supporting evidence, and file your petition or application with the United States Citizenship & Immigration Service. Most services stop at this point and leave you hanging for the rest of the process.
Once your petition is approved by the USCIS, the case is forwarded to the National Visa Center, where they will make sure your supporting evidence is adequate, and prepare it to be sent to the U.S. Embassy where your interview will be held. They may request more items, or send your case back to the USCIS. Once they determine everything is adequate, the case will be forwarded to the U.S. Embassy. We offer unlimited support throughout this phase.
You will have a face-to-face interview at the U.S. Embassy, usually at the country you reside in. A consular officer will ask questions pertaining to your case, usually for five to fifteen minutes. They may request more items at this phase as well. At the end of your interview, you will usually get a determination of whether or not your visa is approved or denied. We offer support all the way until your visa is issued.

We are so glad that we decided to get help from RapidVisa! Because of them, all of it went smoothly and quickly. It took only 6.5 months, from the time we mailed our petition to RapidVisa to the time that we received the green card from the USCIS.

We were nervous about the whole process, but we took the leap and went for it. We applied In April 2018 and got approved December 2018 and moved to the States in March. Rapidvisa helped every single step of the way. Thank you RapidVisa!
A green card, or permanent resident card, gives a foreign national lawful immigration status which allows them to live and work in the United States. For a regular permanent resident, the green card is valid for 10 years. You can start your green card renewal application as early as 6 months before the expiration date. If your valid green card has been lost, stolen or damaged, you will also need to replace your green card as this could be a problem for getting a job or traveling outside of the United States.
This process does not apply to expiring two year green cards if the green card was obtained through marriage. Please refer to removal of conditions in this case.
The green card renewal or replacement process might vary based on the reasons of replacement, applicants should identify which category does the conditions falls into before applying, the basic process is as follow:
* In some situations, applicants might receive interview notice prior of final decision.
As of 2018, the average time from initial filing of the I-90 Application to the moment of final adjudication is approximately 8 to 10 months from start to finish on average. Keep in mind that the specific circumstances of each applicant can add to that estimate.
Some of the factors that can affect your timeline are:
Note that most delays in processing result from missing evidentiary documents (and subsequent requests for evidence, aka. RFEs) and/or errors made on the official forms.
