US Embassy Info in Libya

Libyan nationals are advised that U.S. Embassy Tripoli is unable to process immigrant visas. U.S. Consulate Casablanca will accept immigrant visa applications from Libyan nationals.

Because we are currently unable to provide Immigrant visa services in Libya, the U.S. Department of State has officially designated U.S. Consulate Casablanca as the processing post for Libyan visa applicants resident in Libya. Please visit their website for more information: https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/.

If you are a Libyan citizen but reside outside of Libya, you are welcome to apply for a U.S. visa at the Embassy or Consulate nearest your residence.

URGENT UPDATE 2018: Please be aware that this country is affected by President Trump's Executive Order 13780. This could change at anytime, however this is the most recent information we have. According to this order, which was upheld by court in January of 2018 states:

(c) Libya.

(i) The government of Libya is an important and valuable counterterrorism partner of the United States, and the United States Government looks forward to expanding on that cooperation, including in the areas of immigration and border management. Libya, nonetheless, faces significant challenges in sharing several types of information, including public-safety and terrorism-related information necessary for the protection of the national security and public safety of the United States. Libya also has significant inadequacies in its identity-management protocols. Further, Libya fails to satisfy at least one key risk criterion and has been assessed to be not fully cooperative with respect to receiving its nationals subject to final orders of removal from the United States. The substantial terrorist presence within Libya’s territory amplifies the risks posed by the entry into the United States of its nationals.

(ii) The entry into the United States of nationals of Libya, as immigrants, and as nonimmigrants on business (B-1), tourist (B-2), and business/tourist (B-1/B-2) visas, is hereby suspended.

Should you apply using RapidVisa's services, please be aware we cannot control this ban and you may be denied.

Testimonials from Libya

We learned about RapidVisa online. I was visiting my then fiancé in the Philippines and we were browsing the internet to check on the some possible option we could consider for the K1 process. We spoke with Johben who was very accommodating and gave us the steps that we need to do to get started. Gave us the paper works that we would need and gave us every possible information that we might be needing. We started the petition in November, and we got the response in December. Again RapidVisa made sure that we have everything in order and even tried to call in for the schedule of the Interview. Jan was then scheduled for the interview on May 5th and was on her way coming here on the 16th. We could not have had that fast if not for RapidVisa and the ever so helpful people behind this company.

I greatly appreciate all the help y'all have provided to me and Jan. Big thanks to Johben, Albert, Mr. Rick and everybody in the office. We got married 3 days after she got here in Texas. AOS will still be with RapidVisa as you guys are awesome! Good job y'all!
