If you plan to apply for a U.S. visa from the Philippines, we have good news for you! The U.S. Embassy is making big changes to the application process starting September 28th, 2024. Buckle up, because we've got all the details for you.

New Visa Application Center (VAC)

There's a brand new Visa Application Center (VAC) opening its doors in Parañaque City (Parqal Building 8, Level 3, Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Barangay Tambo to be exact). This is where you'll need to go to have your photo taken and fingerprints scanned – a new step for all interview appointments booked on or after September 28th. Don't worry, the U.S. Embassy on Roxas Boulevard will still handle the interviews, but the VAC will streamline the process by collecting your biometrics beforehand.

Here's the best part: the VAC is open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM weekdays, with bonus Saturday hours from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM! Plus, no appointment is needed if you're just dropping off interview waiver applications or picking up your passport during regular weekdays.

New Appointment System

Scheduling your visa appointment just got easier! The embassy is launching a brand new online system accessible at ustraveldocs.com/ph. This user-friendly platform will make booking your interview and managing your application a breeze.

A note for existing applicants: You can log in using your registered email address to transfer your profile, including payment receipts and scheduled appointments, to the new system seamlessly.

Customer Support for U.S. Citizens in the Philippines

The good news keeps rolling! The embassy is expanding its call center services to handle your general, non-emergency inquiries related to American Citizen Services (ACS), like passport renewals, citizenship applications, and notary services. You can reach them at:

  • (+632) 7792-8988 (Philippines)
  • (+632) 8548-8223 (Philippines)
  • (703) 520-2235 (United States)

Other Ways to Stay Informed

Be sure to check out the launching of ACS' website on September 28.
