Visa-Interview-QuestionsYour alien fiancé(e) or spouse must attend an interview with the consulate at the U.S. embassy. This interview will rarely last more than 10 minutes. The interview will take place in a private room and will be conducted by a consular officer. Normally, the only people in the room will be the consular officer and the alien. The U.S. citizen sponsor is never required to attend the alien's embassy interview. Children who are included on a K-2 or K-4 visa must also attend the interview.
